I
listen in the dark
to the soft hum and slow skip
of one young thing
makin' her way home.
wearing thin white cotton and carrying those shoes
she sings herself a quiet love song.
rise to watch her dance across grass
new and glistenin' with quiet rain
pale skin in new spring
illuminated by soft glowing moonlight
one young thing
makin' her way home.
I like the imagery here. But, I have a strong feel that there is a subtext here. I shall return to re-think again.
